Meet our 2025-2026 Campus Club President, Claire Twardy!

Claire, a native of Cedartown, a picturesque small town in northwest Georgia, is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. 

After graduation, Claire worked as an Art Director in advertising in Birmingham and Chattanooga.  In 1981, she married Joe Twardy and moved to Selma, Alabama.  She worked as teacher/director of Little Friends School, and later as the Director of Leadership Selma-Dallas County. In 2000, she worked as the Marketing Director at Baptist Hospital then became President of the Selma-Dallas County Chamber of Commerce in 2003.

Joe and Claire moved to Auburn in 2006 and she began working at the Office of Professional and Continuing Education at Auburn University as Assistant Director of Outreach Programs.  A job she loved and enjoyed until retirement in 2022.

Claire is a past president of the Selma Charity League, Secretary of the Morgan Academy Board of Directors, and held many leadership positions with volunteer organizations in Selma.  She is a 1999 graduate of Leadership Alabama.

Claire is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Auburn and loves working with the Altar Guild and Flower Guild. Claire and her husband, Joe, have two daughters, Sara and Anna, both graduates of Auburn University.
